T160 modded to just how I like it. Now if I could just get the gearbox to work properly it would be great.

		Iain,
Hard to select first & second and more false neutrals than gears when changing down the box. Makes approaching corners very exciting.

		Iain,
Nearly everything in the box has been renewed but still chasing the problem. Have now got the bike on the bench (again) and I have a lot of play in between the gear lever and the quadrant fork on right hand of bike which may be causing this issue.

I think if you put a bigger washer on the nut it has the effect of clamping the crows foot

ModeratorGeorge the play issue is normall the fit of the crows foot to x-shaft on the LH side of engine. The other end there is normally lots of movement! Fix is either as Iian says, fit an oversize washer under nut, weld it up on shaft or ideally replace the worn item.

		All,
Well, I bought a new cross over shaft and quadrant from 2 different suppliers. Crossover shaft does not go through the roller bearings and has no relief for the spacer on left end and the new quadrant has far more play than the original so a big washer it is!
