Further to my article in TE, please see details of the first East of England area meet…..

        Hello one and all,

I do most sincerely hope this missive finds you and your loved one’s healthy and well.

Please find details and the date of the inaugural meeting.

Subject to Govenment change of course, after the 17th of May, the ‘rule of 6’ will no longer apply whilst being outside a pub. Consequently I would like to hold our first meeting on Saturday 22nd of May, at the White Swan Pub, Connington, Cambs, CB23 4LN. Exact time to be decided, see below.

I have been in touch with Neil, the landlord of the White Swan, and can confirm (again, subject to change) that by this time, most social contact rules will be lifted. This means we can stand and sit outside and be free to mix between tables and around our bikes. Tea’s, coffee’s, soft drinks, bacon or sausage bread rolls and usual bar snacks would be available (alcoholic drinks too after 11am but I shouldn’t think that would be our first choice!). Toilet facilities inside the pub will be open as usual. Should the weather be inclement, we can meet indoors, but the rule of 6 per table, with no mixing would apply. We are welcome to turn up on our bikes (doesn’t have to be your Triple) and these can be parked safely in the car park, yards away and within full view of, our tables.

The only thing to decide would be timings. As per the article in Triple Echo, I suggest the following:

For those wanting to join a 35ish mile ride-out, meet at the Swan at 10.30am for an 11.00am departure.
For those not joining the ride, meet at the Swan at 12.30pm.

Should anyone who has not already contacted me, like to attend, can I please ask you to do so by email on    t313club@gmail.com    stating whether you would like to join us for the ride-out at 10.30am or for the meeting at 12.30pm?

Keeping my fingers crossed for a smooth unravelling of the ‘roadmap’, and equally looking very much forward to meeting some of you, hopefully on the 22nd.

        Best wishes, and kind regards,

        Graham Small
