Possibly something of interest for TR3OC members:

The annual Drive It Day in support of the NSPCC now includes a Ride It Day in its portfolio for classic bikes. 2023’s event is on Sunday 23rd April.

Display plaques (smaller items than the Drive It Day car items, for bike attachment) are £10 from the website:

Hope an area rep down here in the south/midlands/west might get a ride going…?

Maybe you can remind us of this nearer the date, Ian?

See if we can organise a ride out from west mids maybe into welsh borders

it does clash with the staffford show but that’s no great loss these days

Thanks, Nigel, for your reply. I’ll put a reminder here in March, or thereabouts, unless they notify people of a cut off date that prompts me to act earlier.

Following up in March, as promised, with this reminder…

Ride It Day is 23rd April, in support of the NSPCC and is a major nationwide event in conjunction with Drive It Day, hosted by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs. Yes, it clashes with the Stafford shindig but, if anybody wants to host a ride in the South West / South Wales, let me know and I’ll join you.

Scan down the web page and see Carl Fogarty promoting the bike participation.

I’ll be going ahead regardless, but may well join my South Wales Classic Car Club colleagues by proudly riding my bike alongside their tin boxes…
