Machine Dating Service

Machine Dating Service
The TR3OC is on the DVLA list of Vehicle Owners Clubs and is therefore able to support applications for obtaining retained or age related registration numbers for our machines. The club Archivist & Machine Registrar can retrieve information about a machine from the club’s digitised archive of factory records, either confirming the identity of a machine or providing a certificate showing the information about the machine.

In the UK, the change in the threshold to qualify for Historic Vehicle status (and free road tax!) means that a copy of the original factory record proving the machine’s date of manufacture must be provided to DVLA in order for our bikes to qualify.

The club is able to provide this service to club members and non-members.

Full details of everything you need to know and include with your application are detailed on your “Registered Application Form for Machine Dating” which is available for download once your payment is successfully received.

Please note: this is a postal service only and all the information must be supplied to the Registrar in Hard Copy format, e-mailed information will NOT be accepted.

The fees for UK are:

• £15.00 for members

• £40.00 for non-members

Non UK are £4 extra to cover costs.

For more information contact the Machine Registrar by email at registrar@tr3oc.com

Please note that the Registrar is a volunteer with a day job so your application may take several days to be processed!
