Hi, Just bought a 1975 T160 which I am restoring.

My question is which suppliers provide discounts for TR30C members

Terry, have you read the Membership Benefits paragraph on the membership page? https://www.tr3oc.com/membership/

    Hi David,

I hadn’t noticed that, it was only when I was going through my first issue of Triple Echo where I read the members benefits on page 62 of the Oct/Nov issue where it stated spares discounts with certain specialist suppliers.

Looking at the link above it looks like it is only Reg Allen who offers a discount on Triumph spares.

    Thanks & Regards

    Terry

Unfortunately suppliers of triple parts feel they have a captive audience anyway and do not offer club members discount!  I’m not sure of the status of Reg Allen after they vacate their London premises next weekend; perhaps if you find out you could let us all know?

You can follow the Suppliers For Triples button on the left side of the home page if you want to explore others as well.

Such a shame that they feel that they do not need to offer a discount as we are the people who put food on their tables.

Maybe you could change the link to “Suppliers For Triples” button to only those who offer a discount to club members? I’m sure everyone on here is capable of googling the other companies who don’t offer a discount if they want to? Or would that lose the club advertising revenue?

I thought LP Williams offered discounts? I have ordered several lots of items from LPW since joining TR3OC and every time I’ve forgotten to ask!

I think if we made that link show only those who give tr3oc members a discount then the list would be empty.

if anyone finds a supplier who does then please let me know and I’ll update the list

the club doesn’t receive any advertising revenue for the Suppliers for Triples list.  It was simply put together to aid members

It is a grown up bike, for wise people. Discounted from what price? I for one prefer simple plain dealing, not as insurers, budget airlines, motor breakdown ‘services’. Cheap riding is available from old Honda, and v good too. Some of us own British bikes bought at scrap prices but if bought more recently it was priced as a fancy toy or ‘investment’. I only require proper engineering for which I choose to pay. John Bull said “The best costs less per riding mile.”
