I had my crankshaft and rebore works carried out by Dartford Rebores. Link below. Engine is together and feels good however not had it running yet. Maybe worth a visit if you are local or a phone call?

What sort of cost should I expect to pay for rebore and crank regrind.my engine is stamped L on front should I buy the normal pistons listed (look same as mine )

L stamp means it was originally a low compression engine (usually for some export markets and the saudi batch because  of low grade petrol) but these were usually late model T160s so may have some of the worthwhile mods such as larger diameter oil ways (5/16 rather than 3/8 feed) etc.

If its on its second rebore than it may already have been fitted with standard compression, but in any case use the standard compression pistons and then make sure you use super unleaded petrol
