I and a number of other members would be interested in meeting up after the AGM for a few beers or whatever. Now we know what a good job the Committee have been doing all these years by organising this for us.

So it would be nice if someone could pick a hotel, for a reasonable price, for the base. There is a good choice of hotels in and around Coventry for example butI am not in a position to know what is good and what is not so good.

    Looking forward to some suggestions.

Francis, The Manor Hotel in Meriden where we have had the AGM for the last few years may your best bet as a base. Its not residential so its a venue where members could spend the evening if they dont wish to stay overnight. We could promote it on this web page and face book, what do you think ?

      Dave,

well for £90 a night, the negotiated rate by the Club was always better, although that too went up every year. As I mentioned there are cheaper alternatives in Coventry but I can’t judge whether they’d be suitable.

      Anyone else reading this?

    Hi Ralph and Frank

I am planning to come to the AGM and having an evening together seems sensible given your long journey. I’ll see if Rob wants to share a room!

I presume we will be eating at the Hotel in the evening, once numbers are known maybe we should book a table for say 8pm.

    Hi All

I’ve booked into the Brittania, Coventry Hill with my missus for Friday & Saturday night as we’re doing a combined trip away….. So… is there a chance I could blag a lift with someone please, maybe to the AGM – as she might leave very early with the car, but definitely back to the hotel on Saturday after a saunter round the museum?? Thanks – & looking forward to meeting folk! Cheers Don.
