    Hi All,

T160 returnee after about 20 years absence. I’m just trying to get my T160 through the local test center here in Wiesbaden.

The guys had a look at the bike last Friday and raised a few issues, most of which can be solved through (not so) judicious use of the wallet.

The bike has classic T160 silencers with black caps. However, they are probably after-market with no regulatory stamps and the tester is asking for proof that they are “original” or at least pattern. As I’ve just bought the bike, I don’t know their provenance. He’s prepared to accept a picture of an ex-factory bike.

Does anyone have a picture or maybe a scan of the original T160 sales leaflet that I can use as evidence? Or maybe a bluepirnt of the original exhausts please?

    Thank in advance.

Er, yes, well, I’ll pick a time to tell him that, but not until the certificate is in my grubby paws!

Guess that’s all part of the joy that is German type approval.

Sounds like you have a right “Jobsworth” there who may be out of date.   https://www.mot-testing.service.gov.uk/documents/manuals/m1s07000101.htm
